Education and Background
BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Pathology
After graduating from University I worked for the NHS for nearly ten years. In my posts as a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) one of my main roles was empowering parents to support their child with whatever communication difficulty they were facing. When working as an SLT no longer fitted in with my family life I was excited to train as a hypnobirthing teacher as this let me transfer these skills to the antenatal stage, working with parents to empower them to make the best choices for themselves and their new baby.
DipHB (KGH) KG Hypnobirthing Teacher
I chose to train with KG Hypnobirthing as it is widely respected as the leader in the field of hypnobirthing. The Teacher Training course is also accredited by the Royal College of Midwives. It covers the rationale of why hypnobirthing works so well, and how the body, mind and hormones work together. I learnt how to teach the breathing and visualisations that support a woman so well in labour, and the relaxations that she can use beforehand and also when she is giving birth to her baby.
Meet Wave HypnoBirthing
I am Ros, I am a Mum to two small children and a KG Hypnobirthing teacher. My husband and I used hypnobirthing for the birth of our second child and were amazed by the difference it made to our experience.
KG Hypnobirthing is a complete antenatal programme, which will prepare you to give birth more gently, calmly and in greater comfort.
I will help you to learn techniques designed to release fear and build confidence during the birth of your baby.
